Hey everyone, just a quick update so you know Cats in the Kitchen is still very much on my mind. Above is what the script looks like as I’m fleshing it out. The final draft will probably have a quarter less words in it. I’m still working on the first draft, It’s going to be great in the long run to have the story all written out before I start drawing, it’s just a matter of getting there.
Speaking of writing, I’m going to finally do NaNoWriMo this year, though I’ll be shooting for a much lower word count. I’ve been practicing for the past week, and I can only sensibly get 500 words done in a day, so my goal is going to be 15000. The plan is to do a series of short stories, the little surreal narratives that crowd out the more sensible stories in my head.
Also on my plate is my board game project, Lionsgate City Underground, which I’m hoping to have completed in time to bring to Vancoufur and Vancouver Fan Expo this year. (That said, my actually getting a table at Vancoufur is kind of up in the air right now. I left it too long, so I’m on a wait list) It’s a post apocalyptic train game, think Steam meets Mad Max: Road Warrior. I’ve got some other artists helping me do character art, and development of the actual design is going smoothly.
